The Senior Automation Engineer is responsible for designing, programming, simulating, and testing automation systems in line with defined engineering processes. This role plays a critical part in ensuring seamless project execution and delivering reliable warehouse automation solutions to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse system layouts and control descriptions to ensure compliance with control engineering standards and component specifications
- Develop PLC programs in line with Armstrong Dematic engineering standards
- Test PLC programs using protocol systems and simulation tools
- Support acceptance testing and share test results with the Project Manager for final approval
- Engage with customers during DAP and commissioning phases to ensure smooth execution and customer satisfaction
- Attend FAT and SAT activities for assigned projects
Key Skills & Competencies:
Technical Skills:
- 2–6 years of experience in warehouse automation and material handling systems
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Siemens PLCs (S7-300, S7-1200, S7-1500)
- Experience with Rockwell PLCs (MicroLogix, CompactLogix, ControlLogix)
- Proficiency in PLC programming languages including Ladder Logic, FBD, SCL, and STL
- Ability to read and interpret PLC wiring diagrams and control narratives
Behavioural Skills:

Educational Qualification:

Robotics Engineer

The Robotics Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and commissioning robotic cells that are efficient, safe, and scalable. This role involves executing robotic automation projects end-to-end—from concept and simulation to on-site installation and commissioning—while ensuring alignment with customer requirements and Armstrong Dematic engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze customer requirements and site conditions to define robotic automation scope and feasibility
- Design and simulate optimized robotic layouts (footprint, cycle time, throughput) using appropriate tools
- Select and configure industrial robots and controls (robot + PLC logic) aligned to application needs
- Prepare technical proposals, application notes, and RFQ inputs, ensuring internal and customer alignment
- Execute projects end-to-end — from factory simulation and FAT through site installation, commissioning, and handover
- Collaborate cross-functionally (sales, solution design, NPD, suppliers, service) while supporting standardisation, compliance, and cost optimisation
Key Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills:
- 1–4 years of experience in robotics and warehouse automation with knowledge of robotic palletizers and material handling systems
- Hands-on experience with industrial robots including ABB, Yaskawa, KUKA, Fuji, cobots, AMRs, and gantry robots
- Proficient in robotic layout design, simulation tools, AutoCAD, 3D design, and PLC programming with Siemens and Rockwell systems
- Skilled in wiring diagrams, control panels, robot programming, commissioning, and certified in industrial robotics and automation

The Controls Software Engineer will be part of the CTO Global Controls Software Development team, responsible for developing standard control software products that support Dematic’s conveyor, sortation, and warehouse automation solutions. This role involves close collaboration with global product management, application engineering, and customer service teams to deliver reliable, high-quality control software to customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver standard control software in line with defined project plans
- Co-develop successive software releases with product champions
- Design, enhance, test, and support control software based on system layouts
- Ensure software quality through structured testing and documentation
- Develop tools for rapid software deployment and reuse
- Improve and stabilise existing systems through performance reviews
- Support customer site commissioning when required
